The Annual Bullympics
Buddies Thru Bullies Annual Bullympics has become the rescue group's signature event.
Since 1997, Buddies Thru Bullies (BTB) members from around the country
gather to watch their ever-graceful English Bulldogs participate in a custom-made obstacle course.
Participants need not be rescues, or members. The only qualification is being an English Bulldog.
"Fun Awards" are also awarded, such Best Dressed Bulldog & Owner/Bulldog Look
Alike.
The event, free to the public (there is a park admission),
draws a crowd of about 100 people and usually approximately 50 bulldogs - not all are athletes; some are watchers.
Other efforts include a silent auction and the Bulldoggery, BTB's store for dogs.
This fun morning of events draws attention to BTB's rescue efforts, of which are extremely well-known throughout the country.
All funds raised go directly towards the rescue of English Bulldogs.
