Buddies Thru Bullies Presents
	2   0   0   8 Buddies Thru Bullies Annual Bullympics has become the rescue group's signature event.    Since 1997, Buddies Thru Bullies (BTB) members from around the country gather to watch their ever-graceful English Bulldogs participate in a custom-made obstacle course.   Participants need not be rescues, or members. The only qualification is being an English Bulldog. "Fun Awards" are also awarded, such Best Dressed Bulldog & Owner/Bulldog Look Alike. The event, free to the public (there is a $1 park admission), draws a crowd of about 100 people and usually approximately 50 bulldogs - not all are athletes; some are watchers. (Broward County Park regulations require that all dogs be on leash and have proof of current rabies vaccination.) Other efforts include a silent auction and the Bulldoggery, BTB's store for dogs.   This fun morning of events draws attention to BTB's rescue efforts, of which are extremely well-known throughout the country.    All funds raised go directly towards the rescue of English Bulldogs.   Click here for photos from past Bullympics!       Official Information:   Let the games begin... HOLLYWOOD, FL -- They are jumping two inch hurdles and strutting their stuff. The Bulldogs have been training all year in hopes of bringing home The Gold! It's exciting, breathtaking and downright fun for the whole family! The Bullies have trained all year and they are ready! Snorting, drooling and psyched out -- but that's why we love 'em! So come on down and cheer them on! There will also be prizes for the best dressed bulldog, owner-bully look-alike and other fun categories!!
