September's Butch. An 8-year-old love-bug of a guy, from Miami-Dade Police Department, Animal Services Unit in Medley. He has severe dry-eye, and is good about getting his daily eye drops.
He has difficulty walking these days. He has been diagnosed with
hemi vertebrae, which is a congenital malformation of the vertebrae. We are exploring treatment options for him, therefore he is not available for adoption at this time.

July's Patsy
Patsy is a six year old female who came from a shelter on the west coast of Florida. She is housetrained and good with other dogs except that she is very food possessive. A home with no children is a must. She is a "runner" and needs a home with a very secure yard that is totally fenced front and back. She also has very severe storm anxiety. Placement is on hold at this time due to behavioral issues.

January's Elvis is a 5-6 year old who came from
Miami-Dade Animal Services. Elvis came to Buddies Thru Bullies with severe demodex, and
he was very sad without his hair. Lucky for Elvis, some of hair has grown back,
and he is free of demodex. However, the poor guy seems to be fighting off a
fungal skin irritation. Elvis really doesn’t like other dogs, and can’t be
adopted to a home where there are other dogs. He loves adults. When Elvis is
ready for adoption, he will make a very nice companion for someone who enjoys a
sweet bulldog.

June's Brewster.
Brewster came to BTB from a shelter in the Florida Panhandle. He's a friendly fellow
estimated to be about 7 years old, but acts younger. He's housetrained and
good with children and most other dogs (cats unknown). Brewster had severe breathing
difficulties that were life threatening; he had palate surgery while in BTB
care and is doing great! He needs prescription eye medications on an ongoing
basis. He wants to be part of a loving family! Update Feb 2008:
Brewster is not available for adoption due to a medical condition.

Smitty: Poor Smitty was left
in the overnight drop box at the Brevard County Shelter by some people who
found him as a stray. He had some bad wounds on his back legs that are now
being treated with topical ointments and antibiotics. Smitty's wounds don't
stop him from having a fun-loving personality. He went to the vet the other day
to get his legs looked and after the exam, he just sat on the floor and stared
at the cookie jar, thinking, "I was good, now where is my cookie!" Smitty is a
gentle boy who would probably be good with kids and who gets along well with
other dogs. He also came face to face with a cat walking out of the shelter and
wasn't even interested. Food and treats are Smitty's favorite things, and he is
great with his housetraining so far at his foster home. Smitty weighs about 55
pounds and is probably about 3-4 years old. He is currently awaiting an
evaluation for his severe dry eye, which is why he is not available for
adoption right now. But, when we get him healthy, he will make some family
very happy.
